All writers have goals, whether it’s to publish your first novel or to finish your work in progress.
No matter how tough things get it’s important to stay focused on your goal and this can help you to achieve it.
I find making a list of goals and putting the above my desk helps me to achieve things more. Whether I want to meet a particular word count or get something done that day it helps me to concentrate more.
At new year I made a list of goals, one was to publish my first novel Denai Touch and guess what? I actually have – despite lots of problems with unreliable editors and formatters – I finally achieved my dream of seeing my novel in print.
My next goal was to finish my second novel Denai Bound and I’m almost 90,000 in.
My goal for this month is to complete the A-Z challenge then I’ll focus more on my second novel. I also have a goal of learning more about marketing and trying out different things.
It doesn’t matter how long it takes to achieve a writing goals. If you focus on what you want, hard work and perseverance will eventually complete and achieve your writing goals.
