4 Tips For Blogging Consistently

Don’t you just hate it when you have those days where you feel completely uninspired? As writers and bloggers, it’s important for us to regularly come up with new content. Content marketing is important for any writer nowadays and something we should all take advantage of.

If you have a blog, it’s important for you to regularly add new posts and be consistent.

But how can you stay consistent?

Here are a few tips to help:

If you have an idea – write it down!

I often have great ideas about different blog posts – usually when I’m supposed to be doing something else – and I think I will remember what it is but usually don’t. So it’s important that whenever you get an idea to write it down so you won’t forget it.

Carry a notebook with you or I often use Evernote to tag things or write myself notes. The good thing with Evernote is that you can sync it across all of your devices.

Have a special notebook just a blog ideas.

Get inspired

I find reading other people’s blogs to be a great source of inspiration and a good way of getting the creative juices flowing. Sit down once a month and plan out the kind of coach you want to write each week.

Create a calendar

Create a content calendar or blog calendar. This could be a notebook or a desk calendar where you plan out your posts for each month, use Evernote or a calendar app on your phone to keep track of all your posts.

WordPress has a great plugin called WordPress Editorial Calendar which you can use to plan out your posts, save drafts and pos content for you.

Brainstorm

Sit down and think about the topics you like to write about on your blog and write our list of all the potential topics you could write about.

Or ask readers what kind of content they would like.
