I’m starting to think I’m slightly mad for doing another 30-day blogging challenge twice in one year. The last one I did was back in January and although it was a lot of fun and I met some great bloggers, it was hard work too. Especially since I’m also running a blog tour at the moment, revising my next book and doing freelance work. But I did the A-Z Challange last April so I thought I’d give it another go this year.
This year’s theme will be related to writing and writing resources.
A is for Author. That’s the same title I used for my post last year. That’s the same title I used for my post last year. At the time, the name meant a lot to me as I’d just published my first book and for the first time, I really felt like I was a real author. I had a very long journey with lots of ups and downs into publication thanks to dodgy editors and formatters. But I pushed through and just recently published my second novel.
Becoming an author definitely gave me the confidence to let people read my work and write more.
Becoming an author is an amazing feeling and no matter how long it takes push through and get your book out there.
How did you feel when you first became an author? Or even if you haven’t how would it make you feel?
Shonna Slayton
For being a writer, I find it ironically hard to put into words what it feels like to have your first book out into the world. All I know to say is it’s been a lot of fun! My first two are traditionally published, and I’ve got my first self-pub coming out on Monday. A third trad pub is slated for October. Lots of work, but lots of fun. Yes?
Tiffany Shand
Yes, very true.

The path to becoming an author is a journey that is for sure. Congratulations on your second book! My second book was released in January, so exciting!
Good luck with the challenge.
